Connect FazerCards to Claude

Claude is the one assistant that will run this on a completely free plan: one custom connector is included, no AI subscription needed. Add the FazerCards link once and you can ask about prices, stock and orders in the same chat window you already use. Setup is four steps and takes about a minute.

Before you start

  • A FazerCards account with an active API plan
  • A Claude account on any plan, Free included
  • Your connection link from the panel, starting with https://api.fzr.cards/mcp/mcp_
  • On a company workspace: permission to add connectors, or an admin who can

Why Claude is the cheapest place to start

Of the assistants that speak MCP, Claude is the only one where a custom connector costs nothing: the Free plan allows exactly one, and one is all FazerCards needs. For a reseller that is the whole point of trying it here first — you find out whether working by sentence ("which denominations are in stock and what do they cost me") actually suits your day before you pay for any AI subscription.

Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise lift the one-connector limit if you later want several servers side by side, but nothing about FazerCards requires them. On our side there is no extra charge either: the connector runs through the account and tariff you already have.

Leave Client ID and Client Secret empty

Besides the server address, Claude's add-connector form shows two OAuth fields: Client ID and Client Secret. Both must stay blank. This is the number one reason the setup fails on Claude and it happens on no other client, because the empty fields look like something you forgot to fill.

As soon as either field has text in it, Claude tries to register an OAuth client against our server. There is no OAuth there and no discovery endpoint to answer, so the save ends in a sign-in error instead of a working connector. Everything needed for access is already inside the link you pasted. If you have already filled them, the quickest fix is to delete the connector and add it again without touching those two fields.

Work accounts: Team and Enterprise

On a company workspace, connectors can be an administrator's call. An owner or admin may need to add FazerCards for the workspace before members can pick it, and admins can also restrict which connector actions are permitted across the organisation.

So if the option to add a custom connector simply is not on your work account, that is usually why — ask whoever administers the workspace. The alternative costs nothing: add it on a personal Claude account instead, where the Free plan is enough.

What it looks like in a chat

Once saved, the connector appears in the chat's tool menu with the actions it can perform: catalog search, denominations with your tariff price and stock, player-ID validation, placing an order, order status and codes, order history, balance and plan.

From there you write normally — name the game, say the amount, ask for the ID to be checked. Money, the credential and safe ordering habits are covered once on the connection hub page; read it before your first paid order.

Step by step

  1. Get your connection link

In the FazerCards panel open your profile page and find the "Connect to AI" card. Create the link there and copy it in full — it looks like https://api.fzr.cards/mcp/ followed by a token starting with mcp_.

  2. Open Claude's connector settings

Go to claude.ai/settings/connectors. Depending on the version, the same screen is reached through Customize -> Connectors or Settings -> Connectors. Choose the option to add a custom connector.

  3. Paste the link, leave the OAuth fields untouched

Put the whole link into the server address field and give the connector a name you will recognise, such as FazerCards. Do not type anything into Client ID or Client Secret — both stay empty. Save.

  4. Switch it on inside a chat

Open a new conversation and enable the FazerCards connector in the chat's tool menu; in Claude a saved connector is not automatically active in every chat. Name a game and ask which denominations are available at your price — denominations coming back with stock means the connection is live.

If something goes wrong

Saving the connector ends in a sign-in or registration error.

Client ID or Client Secret was filled in. Delete the connector, add it again with the address only, and leave both OAuth fields completely empty.

Claude reports that the connector limit is reached.

You are on the Free plan, which allows one custom connector. Remove the existing one, or switch to a paid plan that allows more.

There is no option to add a custom connector on a work account.

Team and Enterprise workspaces put that under owner/admin control. Ask them to add FazerCards for the workspace, or set it up on a personal Claude account.

The address is rejected as invalid.

Paste the full link generated in the panel, including the mcp_ token, with no trailing slash and no spaces or line breaks picked up while copying.

The connector is listed, but Claude answers from memory instead of the catalog.

Enable FazerCards in that conversation's tool menu and ask for a concrete lookup — name the game and ask for current denominations and stock.

Questions

Do I need a paid Claude plan for this?

No. Custom connectors work on Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise. The Free plan allows exactly one custom connector, and FazerCards needs exactly one, so a free account is a complete setup, not a trial version of one.

What do I put in Client ID and Client Secret?

Nothing at all — both fields stay empty. Our server has no OAuth, so anything typed there makes Claude attempt an OAuth registration and the save fails with a sign-in error.

My single free connector slot is already taken by something else. What now?

Free gives you one slot and there is no way to earn a second one. Either remove the connector you use less and add FazerCards in its place, or move to a paid Claude plan, where several custom connectors can live side by side.

Can I add it on my company's Claude account?

Usually yes, but on Team and Enterprise an owner or admin may have to add the connector for the workspace before members see it, and admins can limit connector actions organisation-wide. If the add option is missing, that permission is the reason — ask your admin, or connect from a personal account instead.

Claude saved the connector but keeps answering without it. Why?

Connectors are enabled per conversation. Open the tool menu in that chat, switch FazerCards on, and ask again — and check you are in the same account or workspace where you added it.
